Every September, the hospitality industry celebrates International Housekeepers Week, recognizing the essential role of housekeeping and laundry teams. These professionals ensure guest comfort, cleanliness, and seamless experiences, the true heart of every hotel.
From laundering linens and folding towels to fluffing pillows and making up fresh beds, their work turns rooms into welcoming spaces. For Virginia King, a long-time member of 桃子视频鈥檚 hospitality sales team, this week gives her the chance to celebrate the teams who rely on our textiles every day. Virginia spends Housekeeping Week finding ways to recognize and thank them, ensuring their efforts don鈥檛 go unnoticed.
Why is Housekeeping Week important to you and to the hotels you work with?
鈥淚t offers an opportunity to celebrate the hard work housekeepers do behind the scenes. Without housekeeping, rooms cannot be sold. This week is a chance to say thank you in a real way, to let housekeepers know that their work matters, that we notice it, and that the hotel cannot succeed without them.鈥
What have you learned from working closely with housekeeping and laundry teams over the years?
鈥淲hen working with housekeeping, we gain insights into their needs and learn about the factors that can slow them down. When we introduce them to our OneSTEP庐 products, it鈥檚 often met with enthusiasm, as they realize how these products can help them be more efficient. We in the field learn a great deal by listening to the experts in housekeeping.鈥
How do you personally like to recognize housekeeping and laundry teams during Housekeeping Week?
鈥淚 will start by asking how we can celebrate their team, whether it鈥檚 with an ice cream truck or complimentary linens for their home and family. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated. Just offering is a big gesture!鈥
