The California College Promise Grant (CCPG) waives the enrollment fees ($46 per unit) for eligible California residents attending a California Community College. If you complete a FAFSA or CADAA application and qualify for CCPG, your per-unit enrollment fees for the entire academic year (Fall, Spring, and Summer) will be waived.
CCPG recipients must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and complete more than 50% of their coursework in order to maintain eligibility. Students failing to meet academic progress standards by having two (2) or more semesters of academic/progress notices will lose their CCPG eligibility and should submit an for each of the following semesters until the fee waiver automatically rolls over for future semesters, so long as the student has financial need as determined by a new financial aid application submitted each academic year. California College Promise Grant Program Types
Below are the different types of California College Promise Grant at California Community Colleges:
California College Promise Grant A — For students receiving various forms of government assistance such as TANF/CalWorks, SSI/SSP or General Assistance (not Food Stamps). Students applying for the California College Promise Grant Type A will have to submit the FAFSA/CADAA and submit an Agency Certification of Untaxed Income form located in the Financial Aid Office.
California College Promise Grant B — For students meeting specific income requirements.
California College Promise Grant C — For students who have demonstrated financial need of at least $1,384 per their FAFSA, or CADAA for AB 540 eligible students.
How to Apply
ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ prefers to use the , or the for AB540 eligible students, to determine overall student eligibility for the California College Promise Grant, as well as other federal and state aid programs such as the Pell Grant, Cal Grant, Federal Work Study, and Direct Loans.
If you have already registered and paid your fees, you can still apply for the CCPG. If you are eligible for the CCPG, you can then request a refund of the enrollment fees that you've paid. For additional information regarding the refund process please contact the Student Payment Office.

About State of California Financial Aid Programs
You must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) or the California Dream Act Application (CADAA) for AB540 students to apply for state financial aid programs. You must be a California resident to be eligible for state aid. If you are in default on a student loan or owe a refund on any federal grants, you are ineligible for state aid other than the California College Promise Grant.
