Twelve ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ (ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ) students were among 64 students from nine community colleges who presented original research at the 13th Annual California State University, Fullerton (CSUF) Summer Research Symposium on August 6 at the Titan Student Union Pavilion. The annual symposium, co-hosted by CSUF’s Undergraduate Research Opportunity Center (UROC) and Project RAISE (Regional Alliance in STEM Education), brought together students to share their scholarly and creative work with faculty, peers and the broader academic community.

Marking a new chapter for the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ Art Gallery, the School of the Arts presents E Hele Mai: Grounded Elsewhere, Rooted Here, the inaugural curated exhibition in its new gallery space. Featuring contemporary works by Dane HiÊ»ipoi Nakama, Alina Kawai, Anela Ming-Yue Oh, and Nainoa Rosehill, the exhibition will be on view August 12 through October 1.

ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ President Dr. John Hernandez received the 2026 during its Annual Classified Leadership Institute in early June. A delegation of 14 ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ classified professionals attended the institute, representing the college and participating in professional development and leadership activities with colleagues from across the state.

ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ (ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ) is proud to showcase the exceptional talent of its student artists through the 2026 Annual Juried Student Art Exhibition, now on display at the ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ Art Gallery through July 13.

The exhibition, drawing students, faculty, families, alumni, and community members to celebrate the accomplishments of ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ’s emerging artists. 

ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ part-time Studio Art Professor  received a prestigious national honor after being selected to create artwork for the U.S. Mint’s Artistic Infusion Program.

ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ is proud to announce that Senior Administrative Assistant Desiree Ortiz has been named a 2026 California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office (CCCCO) Classified Employee of the Year, one of the highest honors awarded to classified professionals within the California Community Colleges system.

Ortiz was one of only six classified employees selected statewide for the distinction, which recognizes individuals who demonstrate exceptional commitment to Vision 2030, equitable student outcomes, leadership, professionalism, and service to their college communities.

Scribendi, the flagship literary and arts publication of the Western Regional Honors Council (WRHC), is celebrating its 40th anniversary this spring, and ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ honors student Kimia Seifi is among the students featured in this year's edition. Seifi's visual art piece, Pho Dollars, was selected for publication in the , an annual publication showcasing creative works from honors students at member institutions throughout the region and beyond.

Fifteen students in ÌÒ×ÓÊÓƵ's Black Student Success Scholars (BSSS) program recently took part in a multi-day tour of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) across Texas and Louisiana. Throughout the experience, students explored transfer opportunities, learned about academic programs, and experienced the culture and traditions of HBCU campuses firsthand. The group visited schools including Texas Southern University, Prairie View A&M University, Grambling State University, and Xavier University of Louisiana.
